All of our duck calls have the same barrel and insert design.  We have tried and tested what we thinks give us the best sound and feels most comfortable in hand.  All the barrels are hardwoods that give a rich and robust sound not found in synthetic materials.  The differences in our calls is found in the number of reeds, timber vs. open water design, and insert materials.

Timber calls are a little more raspy or ducky in their sounds, the Open Water are a less raspy, louder and higher pitch to reach out over big water.  Double reed calls are lower and raspier in tone, and traditionally a little easier to master.  The single reed takes a little more control but allows for a little louder volumes.  Both are custom tuned and allow for subtle whines and very realistic chuckles and feed calls.

The poly-carbonate inserts are phenomenal sounding and are easiest to maintain.  For those looking for a very raspy call, try our custom wood inserts.  They have great tone but should be taken apart and dried after use, since woods will absorb moisture and swell.  Acrylic inserts are coming soon.
