2017 Western PA Section Championship Match
The 2017 Western PA Section Championship Match will be at Clairton Sportsmen’s Club. The preliminary date is the 3rd weekend in July – July 14, 15 & 16.
Both Clairton Sportsmen’s Club and Eagles Nest Pistol Club offered to host next year’s match. I would personally like to thank both clubs for stepping up! It was a tough decision picking one location as the Section Executive Committee were all of the opinion both clubs would do an excellent job. Please plan on attending next year’s match. Match details will be posted when available.
Western PA Section Coordinator Election
How would you like to be the next Section Coordinator? An election for this prestigious office will be held in November. So what exactly does the SC do, you may ask. In return for all the fame and glory, the SC has only a few responsibilities: preside over Section Meetings (once or twice per year), ensure that a Section Championship Match is held annually and verify that the Section clubs are running safe matches per USPSA rules. The SC must have successfully completed the NROI Level 1 Range Officers Course. The term of office is two years. If you have some ideas to improve things in our Section, here is your opportunity. Just let me, Greg Zombek or one of the club Match Directors know by 10/29 and you will be added to the ballot.
